What are all the features of MapVision®?

MapVision® has expanded to more than ten modules offering clients the core features or complete system software that offers solutions from database management to real-time tracking of assets.  Here are the Modules & their offerings:

Module I Core Software and Data Management system Features:
  • Consolidates all operational information to a single pointMapVision by Leading Edge
  • Provides weather or tidal events
  • Creates data files for aerial and ground adulticiding/larvaciding missions
  • Provides public access to scheduled treatment areas
  • Processes citizen service requests
  • Consolidates and combines pre & post surveillance data while displaying aircraft and truck applications
  • A relational database using a collection of tables (called relations) to represent both data and the relationships among this data. MapVision Data Management System provides numerous advantages:  Web-based, stability, remote access, data structure, authorization control, processing speed, modular development, and independent back-up functionality. Additional advantages include:
  • Remote Login from other PC's, Notebooks, home and or Office
  • Accurate, compact, and flexibilityMapVision by Leading Edge
  • Mobility
  • All sites referenced by technicians by GIS site location (reduces entry errors)
  • Sharing of information, web-based, Cloud computing
  • Provides monitoring via an Administrator
  • Security & redundance
  • Reporting capabilities
Module II Aerial Real Time Tracking Software Module:
  • Provides flight analysis data
  • Integration of data with Service Request information
  • Provides pilot data
  • Provides flight application information to be combined with pre & post surveillance data
Module III Remote Aerial Mission Software Module:
  • Provides historical tracking of treatment areas
  • Provides data on excess rainfall
  • Enables users to create treatment areas (shape files) in the field to precisely define current breading sites that contain larvae for aerial applications.
  • Ability to transfer shape files directly to GPS onboard aircraft (depends on manufacturer of GPS system)
Module IV Command Software Module:
  • Consolidates and displays critical public health serology data
  • Provides inventory data
  • Provides catch basin identification and data management
  • Displays data associated with stagnant pools as a result of home foreclosures
  • Manages the creation, modification and distribution of geo-referenced polygons for aerial and ground application operations and distribution to public website
  • Ability to view all consolidated data, which can be password secured and accessible by designated individuals within the organization.
Module V Mobile Real Time Service Request System Software Module:
  • MapVision by Leading EdgeProvide real-time service request submissions to citizens
  • Citizen service requests may be collected, stored, retrieved and distributed to the closest field technician in real-time
  • Provides archival data sets on all service requests for analysis and geo-referenced analysis.
  • Provides intranet Service Request features for internal operations and real-time service request submissions based on citizen call in
Module VI Automated Phone System (APS):

The APS will create a call query for all registered citizens inside the treatment areas and within a user defined distance outside the treatment area.  The APS system will automatically call thMapVision by Leading Edgee citizens, and appropriate agencies providing a public notification message.

 Module VII Reports

Provides a customized, efficient, single source of data to compile and populate required regulatory forms for submission to various agencies to include state, federal and local governments. Additionally, the Report Module will be supported by Crystal Reports and will allow user to create user defined data mining and searches thereby creating unique ad-hoc reports.

MapVision® Report Module will allow you to retrieve data, populate forms, review and submit electronically via your email service. Additionally, you will be able to print, fax and apply an official e-signature.

As regulatory bodies alter their requirements, to include the addition of additional reporting as in the potential case of the EPA, NPDES issue, MapVision® Report Module will be able to adapt and update your reporting module as a part of the Annual Service Agreement.

Module VIII Mobile & SprayVision

The MapVision® Mobile Module is built around a very advanced programming architecture, which infuses the specific application requirements of vector control agencies and the unlimited feature rich abilities of the wireless broadband cellular infrastructure. The MapVision® Mobile module consists of the core application software deployed on each portable computer and the Leading Edge SprayVisionTM hardware product line.

MapVision® Mobile is a broadband based, Internet connectivity system that provides Real-time connectivity to the MapVision® Module I and Module III Data Management System, real-time data-exchange for retrieving data sets associated with all aspects of vector control operations such as timecard based operations, source inspections, service requests, historical data and real-time data collection associated with all vector control operations performed by field technicians and real-time retrieval and addition of data collection to and from the MapVision® Module III Data Management System

Additionally, MapVision® Mobile will provide;

    Real-time asset tracking includes:

  • Time
  • Date
  • Ground speed
  • Direction
  • Heading
  • Spray switch status

Post application retrieval and display of:

  • Time
  • Date
  • Ground speed
  • Direction
  • Heading
  • Spray switch status

MapVision® Mobile can be configured with one of two SprayVisionTM hardware technologies that offer simple, reliable feature rich options .

Module IX PerfromanceVision
  • MapVision® provides a “Scorecard” to Monitor and engage Continuous Improvement. MapVision® provides a unique ability to analyze and optimize resource deployment with a cost or managerial accounting focus.
  • PerformanceVisionTM aims to capture a company's costs of production by assessing the input costs of each step of production to include variable and fixed costs such as employee salary, benefits, operational costs, equipment, depreciation and cost of capital.
  • For example, when you create a mission polygon for treatment…. MapVision® will calculate the acres determined, the amount and cost of materials and PerformanceVisionTM will aid you in determining your return on investment and efficient use of assets and resources.
  • PerformanceVisionTM will first measure and record these costs individually, then compare input results to output or actual results to aid the company in measuring financial performance. MapVision® creates tables and reports based on your defined sorts. (i.e. by employee, asset or location)
Module X Aerial Module

The MapVision® Aerial Module is designed to provide a very simple process of creating aerial mission polygons/shapefiles and processing the flight recordings associated with the aerial treatments. The MapVision® Aerial Module is fully compatible with the HemisphereGPS IntelliStar and forth generation system.

All of the features associated with the MapVision® can be displayed, such as service request & adult/larval surveillance data while the user invokes the feature rich drawing tools to design a more precise treatment area for the aerial mission.

MapVision® Aerial Module Features:

  • Display treatment polygons to include:
  • Simple drawing tools for creating polygons treatment areas
  • Editing feature for "reshaping" polygons
  • Deleting feature for managing polygon files
  • Saving and retrieving polygons files
  • Creating JOB files for aircraft GPS system
  • Uploading LOG files
  • Displaying polygon files on map
  • Auto-calculate acres for each polygon
  • Display total acres for each polygon
  • Single or multiple polygons can be selected and downloaded to aircraft
  • “Routine” treatment polygons can be saved and displayed
  • New treatment polygons can be created and added to “routine” polygons
  • Date selectable pre-treatment data for current or historical reference
  • Date selectable post-treatment data
  • Print planned mission to include; background maps, treatment polygon, obstructions, total acres and polygon name
  • Retrieve treatments for historical record keeping
  • Display and print multiple aerial application missions to include:  Flight path, Spray switch status, Mission data geo-referenced to satellite or animated maps, Date, Time expandable

Expandable - The MapVision® Aerial Module provides the ability to add variable rate application technology, real-time tracking, and aerial imagery prescription mapping for aerial larvaciding and adulticiding treatments.
