Contract Computer Programmer
Job Description, Skills & Responsibilities
Responsibilities
As an LEA Contract programmer, you will:
• Work with LEA staff to plan, create and design program code, enhancements and changes
• Create, test and maintain LEA Product program code
• Provide assistance to LEA staff when they are unable to resolve a program, SQL database, or IT issue
• Occasionally contact customers as may be needed to clarify the intent of a new feature or resolve a problem
• Provide general programming assistance to other LEA team members as may be needed.
Requirements:
The programmer must have educational qualification and experience is a plus:
• Programming / Scripting languages: o Win32 Visual C++, PHP, JavaScript (AJAX), MySql, SQL, HTML, CSS
• Visual Basic .NET and Visual Basic 6, including the use of program “classes” and creation of DLL’s
• Windows 2000/NT Server and Windows XP/2000/98/Vista
• SourceSafe, Crystal Reports
• ASP.NET
• MS Word, MS Excel, MS Exchange
• Networking/LANs, TCP/IP protocol
• Experience with:
o Web development.
o Linux, Database management. ODBC.
• Four Year Degree in Computer Science from an accredited institution
• Prefer five plus years of applicable experience
